About

Hi, I’m Andrei.
A few months ago I picked my daughter up from school early and we went for a walk. We ended up sitting on a bench watching ducks on a lake, just talking. At some point I caught myself thinking I should be working — that I was falling behind.
And then I stopped and thought: no. This is exactly where I should be.
That feeling — the guilt of stepping away, the sense that you always need to be on — is something I hear from almost every small business owner I talk to. You’re not lazy. You’re just doing the work of five people, manually, every day.
I started AwayDay AI because I believe that feeling shouldn’t be the default. Fridays should be for brunch with friends, for walks in the park, for your kids. Not for catching up on admin that a well-configured AI system could handle for you.

Who I am
I’ve spent over 20 years in enterprise technology — databases, cloud infrastructure, and AI. I’ve held technical certifications across all three, and I’ve built the kind of systems that large organisations rely on to run.
What I do now is different: I help small businesses, entrepreneurs, and service providers figure out where AI can actually remove work from their plate — with their data, their processes, their tools.

Where I write
I publish regularly on what AI looks like beyond the chat box — the decisions, trade-offs, and practical moves that most guides skip.
